This position offers local work on first shift, averaging approximately 50 hours per week. The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, communicates clearly, and adapts to changing route needs.
Safely operate a manual-transmission Class A truck with an end dump trailer.
Service bins and complete assigned local routes.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment concerns.
Use a cell phone to receive route instructions, communicate updates, and document service activity.
Maintain clear, timely communication with dispatch and operations.
Adjust to unexpected route changes, additional stops, and service requests.
Follow applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety procedures.
Report delays, service issues, and changing conditions promptly.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
At least one year of Class A CDL driving experience.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Knowledge of proper pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures.
Comfortable using cell phones for work-related communication and tasks.
Reliable attendance and strong communication skills.
Willingness to accommodate route changes and additional stops.
This position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions and exposure to unpleasant odors while servicing bins. Drivers should expect an average of 50 hours per week on first shift.
Regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 70 pounds.
Regularly pull or roll totes weighing up to 300 pounds.
Frequently bend, stoop, twist, shovel, climb, crouch, and reach overhead.
Safely enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the workday.
Work around food waste, grease-trap material, farms, and potentially unpleasant odors.
Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, and other changing weather conditions.
Work around wet, slippery, uneven, or muddy surfaces.
Wear all required personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
Remain alert and able to safely perform all essential job duties throughout the assigned shift.
